How do I import my Soomo test bank into Respondus?

To get started importing your Soomo test bank into Respondus, follow the steps below. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact our Instructor Support team at instructorsupport@soomolearning.com.

Please note, prior to these steps you should unzip the test bank file delivered to you by Soomo.

1. Open the Respondus application on your computer.

2. From the Start tab, select Import Questions.

3. In the Import Questions window, choose Microsoft Word 2007 (DOCX) from the “Type of file” drop-down.

4. Click the Browse button next to “File name” and locate the Soomo test bank DOCX file on your computer.

5. In the “Create a new document, named:” field, enter a name for your new Respondus file.

6. Click the Preview button. Respondus will analyze the file and display warnings for any formatting issues it finds.

7. If the preview shows “No warnings” and the questions appear correctly, click Finish to complete the import process.

Your new Respondus file will open with the imported questions displayed. From here, you can review, edit, or organize the questions as needed.

Note: When printing or publishing, make sure to check the box next to “Randomize answer choices within each question.”
