How do I import my Soomo test bank into Moodle?

To get started importing your Soomo test bank into Moodle, follow the steps below. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact our Instructor Support team at instructorsupport@soomolearning.com.

Please note, prior to these steps you should unzip the test bank file delivered to you by Soomo.

1. Find your Moodle course Question Bank page

First, log in to your Moodle account and navigate to the course you’d like to import the test bank into. Then click the More drop-down at the top of the screen and select Question Bank.

2. Upload your test bank to Moodle

Select Import in the drop-down menu in the upper left of the screen and select Moodle XML Format.

In the File Picker dialogue, select Upload a File in the left-hand menu. Click the Browse button to select the Soomo test bank file you’d like to upload and then click Upload This File.

3. Import your test bank

Now that your test bank has been uploaded, click the Import button on the Import screen.

The questions will then begin to populate.

Once they’ve all been imported, you’re ready to use the questions in your course!
