Students will access their webtext one of two ways. The easiest way is for you to integrate the webtext into your LMS course shell. If you do not have an LMS integration, students will need to log in using webtexts.com.

Let us know if you need help! We can provide you with Quick Start Guides to help support your students in this process. You could also point them to our Student Help Center.

Accessing through an LMS

Students will log in to their school’s LMS and click the webtext link in the course you have set up for them. The first time students click the link, they may be prompted for a passkey or payment, or given the option of a trial if one is available with their school. (If the webtext is included as part of the course materials fee, students will be taken directly to the webtext when they click the link in the course and will not be asked to provide payment.)

After providing payment, the webtext will open to the title page in a new tab or window, as illustrated below. Students should click the webtext link in their course shell anytime they want to continue their work.

Students may want to review Where do I find the link to my webtext? for additional help.

Accessing through webtexts.com

If your school hasn’t integrated the webtext with an LMS, students will need to create an account by visiting www.webtexts.com and clicking New Student. Students should use their login credentials anytime they want to continue their work.

If the webtext is included as part of the course materials fee, students will be taken directly to the webtext when they click the link in the course and will not be asked to provide payment.
