How do I download test banks and lecture slides?

Accessing instructor resources in your webtext

Written by Alyssa

Instructors can download course resources directly from the webtext using the Tools Menu, including test banks and lecture slides.

Test banks

Choosing a file format

Test banks are available in PDF, DOCX, Respondus, and LMS-compatible formats. PDF files are read-only and useful for reviewing or printing questions as provided. DOCX files are editable, so you can adjust question text and formatting, or copy questions to use elsewhere.

Downloading test banks

1. From your webtext, open the Tools Menu in the upper-right corner and select Test Bank.

Opened Tools Menu in the webtext with the Test Bank option highlighted.

2. In the menu that appears, select the file format(s) you’d like to generate.

Select Your Test Bank Format generation dialog box showing selectable test bank formats and a Generate Test Bank button.

3. Click Generate Test Bank. The files may take a few minutes to prepare, then they’ll download to your device automatically.

Preparing files for import

The download includes all chapters compressed in a single ZIP file. If you select more than one format, the ZIP file will include a separate folder for each format, with one file per chapter inside each folder.

Depending on your LMS, you may need to unzip the downloaded file before importing it.

If your LMS requests a ZIP file, you can upload the file as downloaded. If it requests individual files, extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer first:

  • On a PC: Right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All, then follow the prompts to extract the files.

  • On a Mac: Double-click the ZIP file to automatically open a folder containing your test bank files.
