Soomo’s due date manager lets you add due dates directly to the webtext for your class.
You can also change due dates after you’ve added them. Some reasons that you may want to adjust a due date in the middle of the term may include:
It’s the beginning of the term and you need to make a change to your syllabus and therefore change a due date for the whole course.
You want to extend the deadline for all students because of a campus or regional event.
You can also customize due dates for individual students. For more information, visit our article, How do I add or change my webtext’s due dates for just one student?
Add a due date
To access the due date manager, open the Tools Menu in the upper right corner of your webtext and select Manage Due Dates.
To set a due date for each chapter, use the Actions menu (the three dots) to the right of the chapter name. Then select “Add due date.”
Then use the drop-downs in the Due Date and Due Time columns to select the date and time the chapter is due.
You can also add a grace period for each chapter using the Actions menu.
When you’re ready to publish your due dates to the webtext, click “Save.”
Once you save the changes, the due date management history menu will open. This menu shows you the history and status of all due date changes.
You will also receive an email letting you know the due date change has been recorded.

Change a due date
If you’ve already set a due date and would like to change it for the entire class, simply select the new due date in the calendar, then click “Save.”
When you change a due date, your students’ work will automatically be rescored based on the new date. If your webtext is integrated with an LMS, your students’ updated scores will automatically be redelivered to the grade center.
Students are notified whenever you change due dates or grace periods.
