Where do I learn more about the Soomo/LMS integration? |
To get started deploying Soomo’s Brightspace learning tool, follow the steps below. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact our LMS specialist at lms@soomolearning.com.
1. Register the Soomo Learning Tool
Log in to Brightspace as an admin. Then access the Admin Tools under the gear icon in the top right of the screen.
Under the Organization Related tab, click Manage Extensibility.
Select the LTI Advantage tab at the top of the screen and click the Register Tool button.
Click the button to choose the Standard Registration and check the Enabled option.
Use the table below to fill in the rest of the fields and click Register when complete.

Once this step is complete, please share the Client ID with lms@soomolearning.com. This can be found under the Brightspace Registration Details in the tool you created in this step.
2. Create the deployment
Log in to Brightspace as an admin. Then access the Admin Tools under the gear icon in the top right of the screen.
Under the Organization Related tab, click External Learning Tools.
Select the LTI Advantage tab at the top of the screen.
Click the New Deployment button.
Use the tables below to fill in the rest of the fields and click Create Deployment when complete. Add the deployment to the Org Unit following the steps below the tables.

Add the deployment to the org unit
Under Make tool available to, click the Add Org Units button. Select appropriate Org Unit Type (probably Department or Course Template). Check the box next to the appropriate org units. Check This org unit and all descendants. Click Add.
3. Create the deep link quicklink
This step will create a quicklink that instructors can find in the Add Existing Activities drop-down in the Org Unit defined in Step 2.
Return to the Deployment you created in Step 2 and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click View Links.
Click the New Link button and check the Enabled option.
Use the table below to fill in the rest of the fields and click Save and Close when complete.
