Instructors

Where is the article for LMS admins to use to set up the Soomo Learning tool in Blackboard?

To get started linking your course in Blackboard Ultra to the Soomo webtext, follow the steps below. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact our LMS specialist at lms@soomolearning.com.

Once your LMS has been connected to the webtext, you can use the following instructions to create the webtext links to add to your Blackboard Ultra course.

Connect your webtext to the course

Log in to your Blackboard Ultra course as an instructor and then click the + button within your course content and select Content Market.

Next, scroll down to Institutional Tools and click the Soomo Webtext Linking Tool. Please note that you will also see a Soomo Webtext Course Tool—we will not be using that tool in this step.

In the new tab that opens you’ll see a list of webtexts to choose from that Soomo has prepared for you.

Select the webtext you’d like to link, then select to confirm this webtext for your course.

There will now be links to the webtext that match the Soomo grade items generated for your course in the Content section of your Blackboard Ultra course. You can feel free to move these links around within your Course Content. Both you and your students will be able to access the webtext via these links.

Pro tip: After selecting the course to link, you may see a Blackboard page stating, “The specified resource was not found, or you do not have permission to access it.” You can ignore this warning and return to your Blackboard course shell.
