When you comment on, pin, reset, or unpost student work, the student will receive a notification in the upper-right corner of their webtext.

Students can simply click on any notification to navigate to the relevant short-answer question, response board, or writing template.

Expanded webtext notifications panel with an arrow pointing to the Notifications button.

When you leave a comment on a student’s work, they can click “View Comment” below the question on the webtext page to see your feedback. Students can only see the comments left on their own work.

Response-board question in the webtext with a comment from the instructor. This notification includes a “View comment” button.

When you add a comment, you’ll see “Unseen” next to the comment in Analytics. As soon as a student views the comment, it’ll switch to “Seen.”

Response board question in Analytics with showing an unseen instructor comment.
