Multiple-choice questions

Multiple-choice questions may appear in your webtext individually or in sets. To complete multiple-choice questions in either format, students select their answers and then click Save.

The rejoinder that appears will let them know if they have answered the question correctly. If they have, there will be an explanation as to why the chosen answer is correct.

For incorrect answers, the rejoinder will include guiding information to help students review the material.

Depending on your course’s settings, students may be able to reset their answers. For more information on how students reset multiple-choice questions, check out this Help Center article.

Open-ended questions

For short-answer and response-board questions, students simply type in their responses and then click Post.

Responses to short-answer questions are only visible to you and the student who wrote them, while answers posted in response-board questions are visible to you and the rest of the class.

Both types of open-ended questions allow students to edit their work and repost it.

Polls

To respond to a poll, students select their response and then click Save.

Once the answer has been saved, they’ll be able to see how their classmates responded to the prompt. Answers to poll questions are anonymous and cannot be reset.

The poll data may appear as a pie chart or a bar graph, depending on your course content.

To view the results of the poll as a data table instead of a chart, instructors and students can click the Data tab beneath the poll question text. The poll results can be downloaded from the Data tab by clicking the “Download the data (CSV)” link above the table.
